Long-Term Working Temperature
Ordinary incandescent lamp tungsten wire: 2200‑2500°C (inside a bulb filled with inert gas)
Halogen lamp tungsten wire: 2600‑2800°C, the halogen cycle slows down tungsten evaporation, giving it a longer life
Maximum for high-temperature vacuum-heating tungsten wire: safe long-term around 2500°C; short-term can approach 3000°C, but it will sublime quickly, thin out, and break
⚠️ Note: You can't use it like this in air! Tungsten will oxidize and burn at high temperatures, so it can only operate at thousands of degrees in a vacuum or inert gas environment.
