Function of infrared therapeutic apparatus
The infrared therapeutic instrument is used for traumatic wounds or surgical incisions, for local congestion or soft tissue swelling after trauma, and for chronic aseptic inflammation.
Function of infrared therapeutic apparatus:
1). It can be used for traumatic wound or surgical incision: after the wound is irradiated by infrared ray, it can promote local blood circulation, accelerate the disappearance of local inflammation and edema, and thus promote wound healing.
2). For local congestion or soft tissue swelling after trauma: infrared radiation can promote local blood circulation through the role of hyperthermia, accelerate the regression of local congestion, and thus accelerate the repair of injured soft tissue.
3). It can be used for chronic aseptic inflammation: local chronic aseptic inflammation causes pain, and infrared radiation can also promote the absorption of local inflammation, which can help relieve pain.
Taboos of infrared therapeutic apparatus:
1). It is not allowed to directly shine the lamp on the eyes. You can choose to wear colored glasses or gauze to block the light. The exposure time should also be controlled within 20 to 30 minutes. The distance from the lamp should be reasonably controlled, generally about 30 to 50 cm. Too close or too far is not good.
2). In the process of irradiation, if the patient's skin shows pink spots, it is the appropriate dose. However, if purple spots appear, the irradiation should be stopped in time to protect the skin.
3). It is necessary to pay attention to patients with high fever. For them, heat should be dissipated in time, but the physiotherapy lamp is used to heat up, so such patients cannot use it.
4). The patients with tumors are not suitable for using infrared physiotherapy lamps. As the body temperature rises, the tumor cells will multiply faster with the increase of activity. There are also other diseases, such as haemorrhage or arteriosclerosis, which are contraindicated by the use of infrared physiotherapy lamps.
